Crossing the Nockalm by motorbike
Unique tour through the Nocky Mountains
This motorbike tour from the Grossglockner to another amazing panoramic road with lots of turns is waiting to be experienced. If you want to cross the Nockalm with your motorbike, you need some endurance and, most of all, lots of time, as the 330 to 360 km feature many bends and pure riding time of seven to eight hours. Sounds like an exciting challenge, doesn’t it?
To the Nockalm
Leave the Grossglockner High Alpine Road and hit the Mölltoll with the Hohe Tauern and the Kreuzeckgruppe as your backdrop. Conquer the Nockalm by motorbike after Spittal and Gmünd at the westernmost part of Lake Millstatt. Nearly 34 exciting kilometres lead through the grassy Nocken on 52 wide bends with astonishing views of the wide valley. Take a break at Lake Turrach and head briefly into Styria before taking the Murtal, Radstädter Tauern and the tricky Dientner Sattel back to Bruck and the Grossglockner. Alternately, embark on an equally spectacular detour to the Gasteinertal on your ride back.
